Ansette was created to fulfill a need. A need for quality, professional web site development and hosting at a reasonable price.

The goal is to have the most positive working relationship with clients so that they continue to work with Ansette as their business or organization grows.

Ansette specializes in using open source content management tools, combined with effective web site design and architecture, to create the best solution for online retailers, publishers, and online communities.

Based in Bloomington, Indiana, Ansette was founded by Ted Boardman, a professional web site developer who previously worked for htInteractive Media. With over twelve years experience working with dozens of businesses to develop design and programming solutions, Ansette is the opportunity to continue offering excellent service at a better price.

In partnership with a leading Chicago-based hosting company, Ansette offers enterprise level web hosting with 99.9% guaranteed uptime. Carefully selected for their reliability and technical support staff, the hosting is monitored and maintained 24/7. Ansette provides support to clients, eliminating their need to have highly technical interactions related to web server technology. A simple "dashboard"-like web interface gives clients full control over the hosting account features. See the hosting section for information about the plans that offer far more features, reliability and support than you would expect for such a low monthly fee.

Online Community:
Bloomington Beacon Center

This web site was commissioned by a non-profit organized around the goal of creating a supportive and friendly community center for GLBTQ individuals in southern Indiana. The site uses the Drupal content management system, which allows simple and frequent content updates by volunteers. Features include news article and press release publishing, a public event calendar, an online photo gallery, and online survey management.
Web Site Design:
National Organic Symposium

This design was commissioned by the Indiana University Conference division for a national conference to be held in Bloomington. The requested theme was competitive bicycling, because of Bloomington's long-standing link to that sport with the Little 500 and the movie "Breaking Away." The selection and editing of an appropriate photo, combined with original artwork, resulted in this colorful and visually interesting design.

Custom web application:
Indiana University Alumni Directory

Programmed by Ansette's founder in 2000, the online directory was written from the ground up to support the exact needs of one of the largest state university alumni associations in the United States. With over 475,000 living alumni, the directory had to support efficient searching in numerous ways. Replacing a branded solution from a 3rd party vendor, the directory continues to support the IU Alumni Association through 2009, allowing weekly updates of alumni records from the records department, and instant updates form thousands of alumni who log in each week.

State of the art servers
Ansette leases state of the art UNIX servers, which are hosted by a Chicago-based company in a specially designed server facility. Each server is rack mounted and cooled with forced air, connected via dedicated gigabit Ethernet to a major metropolitan Internet backbone. Servers get constant, conditioned power from uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). In the event of a power failure, the UPS will sustain the server's power for the few minutes it takes for gas generators to kick in. A contracted fuel source can keep the servers going indefinitely with no interruption. Servers are monitored and maintained 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and are upgraded to maintain current secure and robust specifications.
